I've been fascinated by seeds and plants since I was little. I would grow green beans in egg shells and would be so excited watching the little guys grow up. Both of my grandmothers were gardeners - one grew herbs, vegetables, and everything needed to feed her family on a small farm in Indiana. The other loved flowers, succulents, and cacti and loved container and patio gardening in urban Arizona.
My first business was creating handmade botanical oil candles at 20. Then while writing for the DoD I became addicted to growing seeds. I grew over 300 plants on my little patio and sold them at farmers markets around town. Then I owned a flower shop in central Phoenix. During that time I was the local garden girl for 10 years on Sonoran Living Live. To say I have a slight plant addiction is an understatement!
I now call Anchorage, Alaska, home and am learning how to garden in the Arctic - it is challenging, but I love it! Seed Plant Bloom is taking me back to my roots, back to gardening.
Thank you for being here and subscribing to my little gardening box!
I have a degree in horticulture, and am a Master Florist and Master Gardener.
I'm a Mini Australian Labradoodle and I keep things running around here. I can be bribed with belly rubs, bacon, and yummy treats. I'm a Medical Alert Dog and love to play in the dog park on my days off.
Mama keeps talking about the garden and I can't wait to see what it is all about. I'm only 8 months old so I haven't seen what all the fuss is all about just yet.
I'm going to try real hard not to bite the corners of your boxes too. I love them so much though... yum, boxes.
